The library at BTI occupies over 412 square meters and provides Users with Access to a vast repository of resources including Books and Periodicals. The peaceful sunlight provides ideal study space. Completely automated Library Management System makes Users possible to borrow Books at any time of the college hours. Multiple copies ensure that resources are easily available for reference in the Library. Trained Staff is always at hand to assist Students.

Objective
The primary objective of the library is to offer a fully integrated and dynamic environment suited for academic pursuits, study and research for the students and staff, by augmenting traditional print and electronic resources both local and global technologies.

Circulation Rules:
- General books are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.
- For the rules for replacement of lost book kindly contact the Librarian.
- Loss of book must be reported immediately. Late fees, if any, will be charged till the loss of book is reported. If the original library book is returned after reporting it lost, the fine will be calculated till the date of its return.
- A book can have maximum 2 claims.
- The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior or misuse of the library.
- No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the reader. Mutilated or spoiled books will have to be replaced by the borrower.
- The readers should check the book thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc., while borrowing the book.
Circulation Counter Timings:
Monday-Friday: 9.15 AM to 4.00 PM and on Saturdays 9.15A.M. to 1.00 PM
Reference Service:
The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, atlases, etc. Reference books are marked "R". The Reference Section facility is extended to the students, staff and faculty of the Institute from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all working days. Readers may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the Library Collections and Services
Reprographic Service:
One Canon plain paper copier machine (zoom type) is provided in the library for catering to the needs of users.
NEWSPAPERS:
Library receives 3 English and 1 Kannada Newspapers.
CLASSIFICATION:
Books are classified according to DDC and catalogued as per AACR2 format. New Books before sending to shelves are first displayed in the "new arrivals" section for 15-20 days and processed afterwards for the usage by students and staff.
ARRANGEMENT OF COLLECTIONS:
Open access is provided to the Library holdings and the books are organized Classification wise for easy access and quick retrieval.
RENEWALS:
Renewals are allowed only when there is no claim by others. No phone renewal please. Bring the book to be renewed to the Library and get the due date stamped.
RECALLS:
A borrowed book if recalled by the Librarian has to be returned immediately.
PHOTOCOPY SERVICES:
Materials available in the Library can be Xeroxed by paying nominal charges.
CD-ROM SERVICES:
The Library is Providing CD-ROM services for their Student and Staff. Along with this CD's which comes with different books are also kept for retrieval is being organized according to subject matter.
