Campus Norms

Bangalore Technological Institute maintains a disciplined, respectful, and safe campus environment. All students are expected to follow the norms listed below at all times.

General Conduct

  • Students must always carry and display their college Identity Card within campus.
  • Appropriate dress and professional demeanor is expected during classes and campus movement.
  • Institutional property must be safeguarded; any damage will be treated as a disciplinable offence.
  • Defacing campus areas (walls, notice boards, furniture) constitutes a serious offence.
  • All visitors must identify themselves and state their purpose at the security gate.

Mobile Phones & Devices

  • Use of mobile/cell phones along corridors or inside classrooms is strictly forbidden.
  • Phones must be switched off or kept on silent during lectures, lab sessions, and examinations.
  • Photography and video recording within campus require prior permission from the administration.

Health & Safety

  • Smoking, consumption of alcohol or tobacco products is strictly prohibited on campus.
  • Vehicles must be operated at moderate speeds; helmets are mandatory for two-wheelers.
  • Parking is permitted only in designated areas; illegally parked vehicles may be towed.
  • Students are encouraged to use the library during free periods.

Attendance & Examinations

Students must meet the VTU-prescribed minimum attendance requirement to be eligible to appear in semester-end examinations. Attendance status is communicated periodically to students and parents.

  • Odd-to-even semester promotion has no restrictions provided attendance requirements are satisfied.
  • Even-to-odd semester promotion is governed by VTU regulations applicable to the admission year.
  • Certificate requests (bonafide, attendance, etc.) require a minimum one working day advance written notice.

Notice Boards

Important notices regarding examinations, events, fee payments, and scholarships are displayed on departmental and administrative notice boards. Students are expected to review these regularly.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications are managed through the following government portals:

Scholarship categories include Fee Reimbursement, Vidyasiri, Post Matric, and Hostel Fee Assistance. Eligibility criteria and income thresholds apply for each category.

Fee Payment & Refund Policy

Fees once paid are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate payment or technical errors leading to excess payment. Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 working days.
