Admissions

Q: What are the admission routes to BTI?

BTI accepts students through Karnataka CET (KCET Code: E-204), COMEDK UGET (Code: E-020), Management Quota direct admission, and NRI / Lateral Entry routes.

Q: What is the minimum eligibility to apply?

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (PUC II) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC). For Lateral Entry, a Diploma in Engineering with 45% aggregate is required.

Q: Does BTI offer NRI quota seats?

Academic Programmes

Q: Which B.E. programmes does BTI offer?

BTI offers seven B.E. programmes: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Civil Engineering (CE), Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (R&AI), and Computer Engineering (CmpE).

Q: Is BTI affiliated to VTU?

Yes. BTI is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and all B.E. programmes follow the VTU curriculum and examination pattern.

Q: Is BTI approved by AICTE?

Yes. BTI is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and holds NAAC accreditation.

Fees & Scholarships

Q: What is the annual fee structure?

Fee structure is set as per VTU and Government of Karnataka norms. Please contact the Admissions Office for the latest fee details.

Q: Are scholarships available?

Yes. Government scholarships (Fee Reimbursement, Vidyasiri, Post Matric) are available for eligible SC/ST/OBC and minority students through the Karnataka SSP portal. Merit-based scholarships are also offered by the institution.

Q: Is the fee refundable?

Fees once paid are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate payment or technical errors. Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 working days.

Campus Life

Q: Is hostel accommodation available?

Yes. BTI provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with modern amenities including furnished rooms, 24-hour security, mess, Wi-Fi, and laundry services.

Q: What sports facilities are available?

BTI has facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, chess, athletics, and kabaddi. Qualified coaches are available for training.

Q: Is there a canteen on campus?

Yes. The BTI canteen provides affordable, hygienic vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the day.

Q: Does BTI provide transportation?

Yes. College buses operate on multiple routes covering major areas of Bengaluru. Contact the Admissions Office for the current bus schedule and route list.

Q: Does BTI have a Training & Placement Cell?

Yes. The BTI Training & Placements (T&P) Cell actively connects students with leading companies. Past recruiters include Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, and many more.
