The Department of Mechanical Engineering at BTI offers a Four-Year B.E. Programme with an AICTE Approved intake of 30 seats, affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. One of the Core Engineering disciplines, The Programme covers Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics, Design, Manufacturing, CAD/CAM and Idustrial Engineering, equipping students for careers in Automobile, Aerospace, Energy, Production and Infrastructure sectors.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

PEO-1: To prepare students with overall knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and also in the fields of Mathematics, Science and Computing skills and enabling them to understand specific problem areas and finding the optimum solutions for the same.

PEO-2: To prepare Mechanical Engineering graduates for higher education in engineering and management so that they can excel in core design, thermal, manufacturing, management, or software careers through quality education.

PEO-3: To equip students for effective communication, leadership, team building, problem solving, decision making, software and creative abilities through understanding of current concerns, contributing to their entire personality and professional development.
