All B.E. programmes at Bangalore Technological Institute follow the curriculum prescribed by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The scheme and syllabus for each programme are available on the VTU website.

VTU Scheme Structure
The VTU B.E. programme is structured across 8 semesters (4 academic years). The current scheme in effect is the 2022 Scheme (CBCS). Key components include:
- Core Theory Subjects: Department-specific engineering subjects
- Laboratory Courses: Practical sessions aligned to theory subjects
- Mandatory Learning Courses (MLC): Universal human values, Constitution of India, environmental studies
- Open Electives: Interdisciplinary subjects from other departments
- Professional Electives: Specialisation subjects in the 7th and 8th semester
- Project Work: Minor project (7th sem) and Major project (8th sem)
- Internship: Mandatory industry internship between 6th and 7th semester
